systemd does no black magic to initialize your audio hat, it just loads the correct kernel module. Followed the steps in the manual (chapter 3) https://datasheets.raspberrypi.com/iqaudio/iqaudio-product-brief.pdf and see it it's autodetected. If not, load the module by hand.
