you should also check if firefox is running something malicious from visited sites, like a cryptominer script. use ublock origin, noscript extensions to see differences in firefox behavior too.. maybe even run firefox with firejail, or try a new profile... --- i also use icecat occasionally, as it keeps js very limited, if not disabled at all.. better browsing experience, when websites don't break :)
