as for the clock , do you mean the panel clock applet? if so, try adding it back, and if it doesn't load, check ~/.xsession-errors. --- btw, tried lxqt last week, works pretty smoothly and is really light. had some issues but didn't keep the DE around much to investigate and report... cheers, d.
