There is a parl-desktop meta-package (a blend, "DebianParl desktop for parliamentary work", sic!) and it would indeed bring in unattended-upgrades (it's a Depends there). However, that meta-package is not selectable at install timein Devuan. Similarly, task-gnome-desktop is not available in the Devuan installer. None of the available task-*-desktop options brings in unattended-upgrades (even with --install-recommends), with the only exception of task-kde-desktop with --install-recommends. We need to track down what is bringing it in, and remove it. It's in my todo-list, but I would be grateful of you would be so kind to please open a bug on bugs.devuan.org, so we are sure we don't forget it.
