KatolaZ, in line with your opinion that there's no need to panic, I found this article: http://0pointer.net/blog/casync-a-tool-for-distributing-file-system-images.html that seems to indicate that Poettering's rewrite included a name change, which is the nice way of doing things. Too bad he didn't rename his poetterized versions of udev and polkit: That would have made our job easier. Anyway, I have the official tarballs for rsync 3.1.3.
