I'm a Linux desktop user too, although my Daily Driver Desktop (DDD)
has plenty of server daemons running on it too. I've heard Mac is more
convenient. That's nice, but with my Linux box, I can make it do
whatever I want it to do. I can custom make it to my custom needs.
Easily.

So I run Openbox outfitted with dmenu and don't use the mouse very
much. That's my style. And I can go in and change almost anything I
want about this machine.

If this complete customization ability weren't valuable to me, yeah,
I'd use a Mac. And of course I would never have objected to SystemD.
