That nauseating rotten mustard color occurs on the login screen. On LXDE, it disappears and is replaced by the colors I described earlier in this thread. So the Xfce implementation fails to load the desktop graphic. Probably it's missing a command in ~/.xinitrc or its equivalent for display managers.
