I no longer have SliM installed on my Devuan machine, but I remember
that the background image was set in a file named something like
'/etc/slim.conf' or '/etc/slim/slim.conf' or
'/usr/share/slim/slim.conf'

Why not just tell Hendrik how to change the background himself? It's a
trivial change to a text config file. I no longer have the package
installed and don't remember the file name.
