The command to connect to eth0 is a new addition. Use the following: ./backend 9 eth0
Please note that netman, the frontend does not assume which device you want to use as your networking interface. This means, you have to select it in the list box. Also remember to change the SUID of backend to that of root. backend needs root privileges, that is why its SUID is changed to that of root. My /etc/network/interfaces file is as follows: # The loopback network interface auto lo iface lo inet loopback # The primary network interface # allow-hotplug eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp # WIFI Configuration iface wlan0 inet dhcp If I remember well, backend can also connect eth1, eth2, ... eth99, but that has not been tested. The frontend still only knows about eth0, but again, the system must be configured so that eth0 is recognized. Hopefully, this helps.
