Hi, I wrote a configuration script and a start/stop script to
* configure applications to route audio i/o to JACK, o redirect ALSA playback/capture to JACK, o set JACK as default sink/-source for GStreamer. and * start/stop/check a JACK service as one of a desktop environment's "autostart" processes. Intended Audience People who want to try JACK but do not want to use a GUI (such as QJackCtrl) permanently to manage it. The software is available in sourcecode only, a README file describes building and installing. The software conflicts with a running PulseAudio; JACK Version 2 is currently unsupported. All error reports and suggestions are appreciated. Usage Pattern 1. Download and install. 2. Run "jack-autostart-config" once, as regular user. 3. Run "jack-autostart" as regular user. 4. Write fan email.
