I am just a user but I can report that these issues have been addresses in Ascii. I use lightdm with consolekit and xfce4 and BTW, I use runit as pid 1. I am not sure if ascii is the pre-testing ground for the next beta. All I can say is - that the merged Ascii-Branch has been rock-solid for the last month (one of these days I will remove Stretch from my hd).
