William, did you really look at those?

KDE Frameworks is called KDE Frameworks for a reason. The KDE developers  
spent years on splitting up things into nice small modules. And as to what 
I am aware, KDE Framework does not *depend* on logind. It provides some 
additional features if it finds it, but can still work with ConsoleKit, as 
far as I am aware.
