When the organizational domain name search walks up to a PSD=Y policy, what alignment should be used?
The primary purpose of the PSD policy was to hinder usage of non-existent names, and to provide a reporting destination. But since a PSD=Y policy can be used for authenticating messages from its subdomains, what alignment should be used? My conviction is that a PSD has insufficient knowledge of whether the client organizations operate private registries, and they also have insufficient knowledge of whether the internal controls of client organizations permit relaxed alignment to be appropriate. Therefore, alignment should also be forced to strict when a PSD=Y policy is used to evaluate message from a client organization. DF
