Perhaps Wordpress needs constant maintenance because it wasn't very
well-written in the first place. I'd rather be responsible for a Django
application any day than Wordpress. Even if a large organization
maintains Wordpress, I wouldn't want to be responsible for maintaining
an installation of Wordpress without being paid well for support because
you will be on a constant upgrade treadmill.
