Company Profile: Pitchfork is the essential guide to independent music and beyond. http://pitchfork.com/ Location: Chicago, IL Overview: Pitchfork is looking to expand its development team, and seeks a talented Django developer capable of working in an ambitious-but-realistic work environment. You will help implement some pretty cool new features on the site, as well as help out with internal maintenance as needed. This job is a full-time position location in our Bucktown office. Requirements: - 3+ years experience in building, deploying, and maintaining web applications - Fluency in Python and Django - Solid experience with MySQL and practical schema design - Experience with git and GitHub - HTML, CSS should be second nature - Familiarity with Ubuntu - Strong communication skills - Experience working on a high-traffic site - A love of PEP8 and Django coding standards Bonus points for demonstrable Flash/AS3 development experience.
