Hi all, I created a django project and when I try to start the server I get this:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "manage.py", line 2, in <module> from django.core.management import execute_manager ImportError: No module named django.core.management I did some Googling and I think it's because I got an error when trying to create a symlink in the installation instructions: "Next, make sure that the Python interpreter can load Django's code. There are various ways of accomplishing this. One of the most convenient, on Linux, Mac OSX or other Unix-like systems, is to use a symbolic link: ln -s `pwd`/django-trunk/django SITE-PACKAGES-DIR/django" I changed SITE-PACKAGES-DIR to my directory and got this error: $ ln -s `pwd`/django-trunk/django /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/ Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/django ln: /Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/ site-packages/django: File exists I'm not sure what it means by "file exists". The other option was changing the Pythonpath to include the Django directory, but I'm not sure how to do that. Answers on Google didn't make sense to me or didn't seem to apply. Any help would be greatly appreciated! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django users" group.
