Hello, pyArkansas, an annual gathering of Python enthusiasts, will be held November 14 on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas (Conway, AR). The format of the event is "mini-conference" with a heavy dose of tutorials (we also have talks and open space) and would like to offer a Django track consisting of 2 three-hour tutorials; an introduction to Django (for which we may have an instructor, already) and an "intermediate" level course. If there is time/interest, we would love to have an evening session to create a web site for our user group (Python Artists of Arkansas, or PyAR^2).
If you would be interested in coming to Conway, Arkansas (30 minutes NNW of Little Rock) to help out please contact me (gslindstrom at gmail) and we can talk. We will cover your travel expenses, put you up in a hotel for 2 nights, feed you all the raccoon you can hold (relax, it's a joke..we have pizza, just like your users group) and provide a modest stipend for your effort. Last year we had 55 attending and this year we expect over 100.
