You have to create a link "ln -s" for /usr/bin/django-admin.py pointing to /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/django/bin/django- admin.py Or you can do it the long way "python /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/ django/bin/django-admin.py startproject foo"
