Be careful of web hosting companies offering mod_python. If they also
provide you with your own Apache instance which is under your full
control (like WebFaction), then okay, but if they provide shared
hosting for multiple customers using mod_python, then run far away.

For really low cost providers, the best you may get is fastcgi.
