i can able to call getCategoryString() in url template tag.It is
working fine.
I donot have any problems.And also the function returns a string
"category/1" and is not
returning category/category.id.

def getCategoryString(self):
      return "category/%d" % self.id

Everthing is working fine.
Sorry for not mentioning it very clearly in the last reply.
