Hi. I've read the many posts about this problem where Django's admin templates didn't exist up in Python's site-packages directory, but that doesn't seem to be my problem -- in fact, perhaps this is a question for a Linux group, but I'm hoping that there'll be a reader of this group who uses Django with Linux and can help me out.
The correct templates actually are in site-packages, in my case. (The one in question for the tutorial is login.html, and it's at /usr/lib/ python2.5/site-packages/django/contrib/admin/templates/admin/); however, in my Thunar file viewer, every icon has a little "X" on it -- this makes me think it's a permissions issue, but I'm a Linux n00b and am not sure how to go about fixing this. Do I need to do some kind of recursive chmod on the entire django tree in site-packages? Or am I thinking about this incorrectly? Thanks for any help you can give, - Chris --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django users" group.
