I add a staff user with no additional permission to my admin interface, hoping that they would be able to use the interface for searching, but unfortunately since they do not have permissions to edit anything they seem unable to search either. At the moment, I would actually prefer to use this interface instead of writing a new one, since eventually some of these users may also have edit rights (however others may still be restricted to searching). Is there an easy way to accomplish this in admin.py or elsewhere?
