"Insists" is a rather strong word, since nowhere does it say "do this or else". Also, out of all the code fragments in all the documentation, very few actually talk about app or project imports at all. So let's keep things a little bit in perspective. :-) We take patches to change that kind of stuff if you want to make it better.
