our environment looks like this: all media-files uploaded with the admin-interface are in /media/ uploads/. this directory is not under version control.
here´s the basic structure: /media/admin/ (not under vcs) /media/site/ (these files are in our repository, but never uploaded with the admin-interface) /media/uploads/ (not under vcs) patrick.
