What happened when you tried it out? That's surely the best way to
learn. I could tell you (in fact, I already answered that in my previous
mail when I said what was responsible for putting that extra directory
in the Python path), but that won't help anybody.

You can do whichever you like when you start. Your first project with
Django isn't going to be something that is of final release quality. If
you change your mind later about how to import things, it's a simple
search and replace. Don't sweat the small stuff so early and don't worry
about whether there's just "right" and "wrong" answers. Just start out
and experiment; the book gives good advice, so why not just follow the
book for now?
