I'm one of "Them", and the answer is simple - we've been busy, and documentation doesn't write itself. Writing documentation takes time. Writing good documentation takes longer. We also have to patch bugs, answer user and developer questions, and other pieces of administrivia. Occasionally, I find eating to be an enjoyable activity, so I have to work at a day job to pay for food. This is just one of those areas that we haven't got around to documenting yet. It doesn't mean we don't want to document this feature - it just means other things have taken priority. We're always open to contributions, though. If you want to write up some documentation based on what you have just learned, feel free to volunteer.
