This means new members may have to wait a while before they see their postings appear, since a moderator will have to see it and OK it before it goes through. I'm not sure but I suspect we may need to enlist a volunteer or two/three to help take on the moderation duties. Based on the stats from last month, I expect moderators will be seeing an average of about ten moderation emails a day, split roughly into 7 legit 3 spam. (Actually that's probably low since it assumes one spam message per spammer, and spammers often send a flood.) Dealing with the emails is fairly easy -- they contain a link to the groups page with all pending messages and from there you can fairly quickly change the sender's status (ban or remove moderation) and toss or let the post through. So, if you feel you'd like to and have the cycles to help with this, let me know via email (please send direct to me vs. cluttering up this thread). Please include a rough estimate of the usual times you are online and able to handle stuff like this -- 3 people all monitoring from 8AM-5PM US Eastern time isn't going to help the poor new member in New South Wales get their message posted, so one of my main concerns is going to be to try to ensure we have as wide a time coverage form moderators as possible.
