A problem either exists or it doesn't. If a problem exists it should be fixed. That's one situation. This is an enhancement request (well, really a change request, since it's not necessarily an enhancement). We can often decide on the merits ithout turning it into a popularity contest. Sometimes we will canvas for opinions if there's some real pros and cons, but often it's not particularly necessary. Particularly with something as simple as #6675 where it's not really a showstopper either way.
