Here are two ways to do this: 1. Add a field to models that you care about. E.g. date_modified = models.DateTimeField('date modified', editable=False, auto_now=True) The autonow=True will cause it to be updated every time there's a save(). Then have a routine that samples date_modified of all of the apps of interest and ... do rss or whatever. 2. Use the django_admin_log table and do something like: mods = LogEntry.objects.filter(content_type=whatever).filter(action_time__gt=sometime) This gives you all objects of a given type (or types) that were modified after sometime. You'll need to tweak this, but it gives you the general idea. see django.contrib.admin.models.LogEntry for more details.
