As a code janitor, I'd rather you not do it at all if you're going to float a hack downstream... Look at code igniter, it's a handy framework. There's a lot of frameworks that may make your life easier, pre-designed. Use this as an opportunity to write DjangoPHP, or DjangoCI, a django library/plugin for code igniter.
