Jason, do me a favour, can you try putting the welsh w character with a circumflex into one of your django sites, see if it get's transated ok for me?
I'm running unicde django, utf8 all over the place, sitecustomize is telling it to be utf8, but I can't get those characters into mysql at all Can you?
