yeah, i did a poor/non-existent job advocating inclusion of my SoC work into django-proper. (combination of frustration with my original mentor and busy prepping for starting my phd right after it ended - i just handed it off and didn't follow through afterwards) but i use django quite a bit now and am surprised some sort of this hasn't been merged yet, so i figured i'd bring it up to date and re-release.
