I downloaded the screencast on it, which took forever, it looks pretty crude right now. I'm sure it will develop over time, but my boss has seen iReport for Jasper Reports before, which is why he was wanting me to try and use that.
I've done a form design tool for something else in Java a few years ago... I'm toying with the idea of learning more about rfxml and creating a java based designer for ReportLab...but that will probably have to wait a while.
