I got the same situation a long time ago... After a lot of headaches, I've noticed that I had an empty image tag, so the browser calls the current page twice, one time for the page itself, another for the image with empty "src".
I bet your problem is almost the same. Try checking the embedded images on your page, or any external files like css, javascript. Try checking the referring page also...
