What would make you great for this job: You know Python. You know Django. You have experience with PostgreSQL. You're using to working with graphic designers and interface designers to make your applications sing on the web. You understand how journalists think and even better how web users think. You're a strong candidate if you: Have experience using Django and want to make it your job Have at least two years' experience building database-driven websites Can pick up new technologies quickly and enjoy a challenge Are familiar with open-source databases (especially PostgreSQL) Are good at grabbing and parsing data from a variety of online sources Have experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript/Ajax Are a strong team player who can both contribute and take direction Experience with the following is preferred: Relational Databases (PostgreSQL, mySQL and/or SQL server) Python, PHP, and/or Perl scripting languages Linux/Unix/Windows server administration Basic Photoshop and Flash Knowledge of HTML and CSS and ability to work within design templates Subversion or similar source code management tools (and the discipline to use them!)
