I'd guess that the problem is a syntax error in your model. You haven't defined _(), so the model can't be imported, so it doesn't get displayed in Admin. Remove the verbose name and the model is valid again. Add the following to the top of your models file: from django.utils.translation import gettext as _ And the problem should go away.
