I looked for the mentioned pre_save hook in all the docs but couldn't find any hint how to use this. I assume pre_save would be the right place to do this. I also saw in releasenotes for 0.95 that save() can be overridden, but I have no clue what to do in this function. Can you point me somewhere to look for a solution?
