Im our pages we would love to keep a list of "most recent" or perhaps "most incoming in the last 7 days" referrers for quite a few pages... I.e. something like: "in the last 7 days your blog/item/whatever has been visited from: 7 x http://somewebsite.com 5 x http://someotherwebsite.com ... " I was wondering if anyone had any hints on how to do this... Should I be thinking Django (and perhaps middleware) or should I be thinking about parsing apache logs via a cron? Mind you, we're talking about > 10000 (popular) pages so performance is a big issue.
