It's a little hidden, I would agree. I considered it a real find when I worked out how to do this when I first started kibitzing on Django. Click on the "settings" link (near the top right, next to "login"). That will give you a chance to enter whatever name you wish to be identified by and have a session cookie saved so that Trac remembers that information. There is no authentication step there, you'll notice, so it won't stop somebody else using exactly the same handle, but people tend to play nicely with each other.
