i am really a rookie in this, started Django as a hobby during the Covid times, but i am glad i have been consistent in my learning and have been continuously working on projects that matters to me. if people are interested we can connect together, that will surely speed up our learning.
It was hard to tell from your initial post what your level of experience was. My point was that a chat application with channels is probably not very good for a first Django project, but it seems like you have plenty of experience already for experimenting with developing a project like this.
Good to hear you are spending these times on something meaningful and constructive. Best of luck with your chat project. Hope you'll consider sharing it once you feel like you have something to share.
