I was searching for a google maps wrapper for the google API but didn't
find any.
I started writing it myself but my python is very poor so I would
appreciate any tips, as I guess this is something more than myself
might like :)

this makes adding google maps with django as easy as:

-- something like this in final version, still not sure of best way (or
pythonic) :) --

def intro(request):
   from pygaps import Pymap
   g = Pymap()
   p = (1,0)
   q = (2,0)
   g.SetPoint(p)
   g.SetPoint(q)
   g.key =  "keyfromgoogle"
   return render_to_response('intro.html',{'map':
g.ShowMap(),'javascript': g.MapJS()},context_instance=Re

it works, but FAR from complete...

for now you can get it here: http://www.xthought.org/blog/2007/pygaps

thanks, ashley
