It also looks to be somewhat unfinished. Open an issue directly with them, I don't know how much help this general mailing list will be. TL;DR; They aren't compatible because both tools have different goals and implementation strategies, although Django is technically capable of doing anything the AMP service is, but not the other way around. I'd recommend that you don't focus on the new age terminology, rather develop your project requirements and then look for a framework or software service that fits those requirements.
