Thank you for at least responding. I had actually already read that
thread (I actually read every thread that mentions "ImportError" before
starting a new thread). I just didn't understand how I could get Django
to display the welcome screen but not respond in the command line. I've
tinkered again and I think the biggest part of the problem was from DOS
uppercasing the directory name.

Regarding the apache/mod_python. I didn't plan on using the development
server (since I had apache installed and running) but in all of my
attempts I tried bypassing apache by running the development server...
which wouldn't run.

Again, thanks for sending back to that post. I'll keep trucking toward
a functioning Django on my machine.
