Yes, Lorenzo, that's what I'm looking for. Doing it for my own forms is quite easy. But, as you noted, I want that for a contrib.admin based form (specifically, the change_form which is the one that handles most new/edit tasks in the Admin framework).
If I had access to the manipulator, I'd be able to keep the admin logic intact and lay-out the data fields the way I wish. Well, I'll try to find my own way to do what I want and, if successful, I'll post the solution in the hope it might be useful to other developers. Thanks.
