Frankly, I don't use the priority field in Django's Trac at all. Well, scratch that. I do use it, but in only one respect: to revert things from "critical" to "normal" when they've experienced priority changes as James explained. But I don't actually base any decisions on the priority field and no longer set it on tickets myself. I don't know whether any of the other committers do this, either. With that said, I'm wondering whether we can completely disable that field. Any Trac experts around?
