Try this:

chapters = Chapter.objects.filter(course=course).prefetch_related(
        Prefetch('status_chapter', 
queryset=LessonStatus.objects.filter(student=request.user).select_related('lesson')),
)

Otherwise, maybe the to_attr will help.
