Here's a hack that might solve your problem.
# moduleApp/admin.py
class ModuleAdmin(admin.ModelAdmin):
inlines = []
# etc
admin.site.register(Module, ModuleAdmin)
# articleApp/admin.py
from moduleApp.admin import ModuleAdmin
class ArticleInline(admin.StackedInline):
model = Article
# etc
ModuleAdmin.inlines.append(ArticleInline)
