It would be cool if Apress could use some type of process with that book like Dave Thomas did with Agile Web Development With Rails (and some of their other titles). The Pragmatic Programmers released early beta versions of the book in pdf format, automated input from their readers to deal with errors in the text etc., kept updating and releasing new betas, and eventually the book was completed and printed and also improved I think by the community involvement.
I found it to be great getting the book early to help me get going (I was a total Rails newbie then) and then watching it evolve into the finished product. Very good work on their part imho. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Django users" group.
