I use Komodo IDE and couldn't be happier. Giovanni, you may want to check it out, with it you can write macros in _javascript_ or Python. For example, take this one (See: http://pastie.caboo.se/16926 ) which allows me to type ".span" in an HTML document, hit ALT + S, and it will insert the snippet named "HTML - SPAN".
