At that point, your code will stop working because you'll be trying to import a module that no longer exists. Django's deprecation process involves introducing warnings like the one you've reported so that you are informed that your code is using a deprecated feature. Keep in mind that it might not be your own code that is importing copycompat -- it might be a third party library. In that case, the third party library will need to be updated. The only thing I can guarantee is that it *isn't* being caused by Django itself.
